Ahmad Hammad
Senior Policy Counsel
Ahmad is an experienced consultant in international development, international trade rules, and economic reforms. He previously worked at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Jordan as the Director of Foreign Trade Policy and Director of Economic Policies. In addition, he served as an Economic Counselor in the Permanent Mission of Jordan in Geneva.
He gained extensive experience in WTO agreements and their negotiations and implications. He participated in services liberalisation within Free Trade Negotiations with the EU, EFTA, GAFTA, Agadir, Singapore and Canada, where he participated in drafting the texts and negotiating Jordan's commitments. He also led services bilateral negotiations with Arab Countries, the EU, and EFTA. Furthermore, he participated in FTA discussions with other countries like Mexico, Mercosur, and Indonesia.
Mr Hammad conducted several assessment studies of liberalisation and delivered capacity building and training in this area. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Al Yarmouk University and a Masters degree in Management from Amman Arab University.
