Turkey Launches Anti-Circumvention Investigation into Imports of Finished or Semi-Finished Synthetic Leather Originating in UAE, Italy, and Egypt

Today, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade initiated an anti-circumvention probe on artificial leather originating in UAE, Italy, and Egypt. The products subject to review are under CN Codes 5603.14 and 3921.13.

The investigation is inquiring into whether Chinese manufacturers are evading anti-dumping duties on Chinese imports of synthetic leather by channelling their artificial leather exports through third countries (UAE, Italy, Egypt).

Interested parties and stakeholders are invited to participate in the investigation by 2 October.
